History
The Mahlorian Green Craft Tradition has no formal beginning, is never ending, always evolving and ever growing. The founders began working together approximately ten years ago, and forming a particular tradition was never our intent.
Along with ideas from the heart, we would read and borrow anything that had the right feel for what we were doing. We found that even what we did borrow was never usable without some modification. Over time we discovered that definite patterns and preferences had developed, and we realized The Goddess had guided us to the birthing of a new tradition. Our system is one of active association with the Wild Natural World, and we are Wild Witches indeed.
A major event in the creation of this path was the discovery of what has become known as The Lady in the Tree. If you look carefully at the photo you will see what appears to be the face and body of a Nature Spirit / Fayerie. Her guidance has become an essential thread in the weaving of this tradition. Through out our lives, at every ritual and celebration we dance the dance with the Fayerie.
While there are many ways to spell fairy, faerie, etc we have chosen the spelling Fayerie from archaic English. We found it blended the old language with the new tradition, forming a bridge between old and new, also this spelling of the word resonates in our magickal hearts.
Philosophy and Core Beliefs
We strongly believe that the differences between traditions are in the details of human made activities. No one is a go-between for Deity and another person. We can, however, share insight and help create situations for enlightenment.
We perceive the Goddess as "The Green Goddess", or "Lady Green", the God as "The Green Man" or "Lord Green", with the Fayerie and Elementals as being one and the same.
All workings in the Mahlorian tradition involve inclusion of the Lady Green and the Fayerie, with the Lord Green when appropriate.
Our philosophy embraces living life to its fullest and in its most magickal form. Therefore, the core of our rituals and celebrations as well as our everyday lives are based heavily upon music, dance, poetry and sensuality.
It is our belief that we are here in this place and time to love and grow spiritually and to offer our guidance when it is so desired.
We view energy as natural and pure, neither good nor bad, black nor white. It is only human perception and intent that denotes otherwise.
Clergy / Organization of Group
An initiate in our tradition is first and foremost a priestess/priest of The Goddess, any human hierarchy is secondary. We use the terms high priestess/priest but only to denote who is leading a particular ritual. For all other times and purposes the members are equals.
We do not initiate one to become a Witch for that is between that person and Deity. We do initiate one into our tradition not by the passing of "power" but rather by the sharing and blending of natural energies including our own as well as the Fayerie.
The rule of study for a year and a day is a valid guideline but can vary depending on ones experience and heart felt knowledge.
Standards of Conduct
Under no circumstance other than self defense or defense of loved ones do we harm another. To do so would qualify one for immediate dismemberment. (pun intended) If one truly follows this guideline no further explanation is necessary.
Ways of Worship
Central to all activities is the recognition and honoring of the Goddess. We observe the Eight Sabbats, however our focus is on the four majors. We use them to mark the seasonal starts rather than the solar Sabbats used by standard calendars. Hence Winter begins at Samhain, Spring at Imbolg, Summer at Beltane, and Fall at Lammas. They are times of transition, with the end of one as the beginning of the next. Each a spoke of the ever turning wheel.
We observe the Esbats as times for honoring The Goddess and performing magickal workings. We work with all phases of the moon according to the need.
Without going into detail about our rituals we will say that: The use of ritual tools is not prescribed by our tradition, we leave that choice to the individual. Our Moon circles are cast widdershins and our Sabbat circles deosil. If one does choose to wear clothing it should be something that helps transform the mundane into the magickal.

Are we a kin to the Fay, yes to this we say.
