me i picked other... because yes they mix - i mean you see it all the time with various films from "the passion of the christ" to "craft" to "the life of brian."
i guess a better question would be is it a good/proper/right thing to do? of course then you get into the freedom of speech and it offends one person but doesn't another...

Movies and Religion. Generally two separate entities. I would imagine that yes, they can be. In this day and age, the movies can be made to be simply another medium of instruction, no different from a book or a Priestess's Telling. Unfortunately, also in this age, it is generally done with much fluff and stuff. In order to make it more palatable to 'joe public'. Once in a great while you see something worth the time it took to create. However, one must remember, that the books, the movies, and even the Priestess's Telling will all be colored by the author. They are to be realized as interpretations, not necessarily stone truth. Religion and movies...both, to some extent open to personal interpretations

very well said, jadedsage.
in movies you have the actor's, editor's, producer's etc etc etc's interpretations.... hopefully the director can reign stuff in to fit his/her vision (and therefore only one interpretation) - but sometimes that doesn't happen. and then you have to add to that time/budget concerns that go along with filmmaking...
