Howdy my friends! Just stopping by to see what's up and say hello to alll our new sisters and brothers! The season is at it's peak here in Michigan. The trees are spectacular, but as you stand and in awe of the beautiful colors, you can see them slowly break away and float to the ground. I heard Jack Frost last night, whispering around my windowsills. I took my last harvest from my garden today, but Jack is laughing still! Have a beautiful autumn evening! Nightwindchaser

What a pleasure to see you here!
The fall season here has hit full swing as well. My yard is a riot of yellow, orange and reds. Most of the leaves have already fallen in the back yard, but the trees up front still hold many. I moved the plants I had left on the front porch, up to my grandmother's house. They'll spend the winter in her plant room. Mr Frost has come to our little hamlet several times already though. I may not have gotten the yarrow up in time. The sage is still growning strong, it seems to really like the cold weather.
How is everyone else doing?

we dont have the same riot of color here. i live in a limestone valley so the rocks are this lovely purple-gray color. the occasional tree is starting to turn though. when i go outside i smell the peat and wood fires burning. it's chilly now and it gets dark by 5pm... i really need to get myself one of those full spectrum lights.
hope all is well.

Hello my friends! The leaves have almost all fallen and I'm hoping the weather holds so I can clean out the gutters before it gets too cold. I was able to harvest enough sage for the winter, but I may have to supplement from the local metaphysical store by the end of spring. I did get abot 15 birdhouse gourds to make birdhouses for my neighbors kids and for my neice and nephew. The smaller gourds I will fashion into Spirit Rattles (sistrums). I sold one last spring for 35 dollars! I will make one for myself and sell the rest or give as gifts this coming up spring. It will be late winter before the gourds are cured for working. My neighbors children are already sqabbling over who gets which gourd! I plan to share what I create with them and educate them on wildlife conservation and share my general love for the animal children in our world. I have a couple of very interested children that love to come over and show me their new books, or a captured insect that catches their attention. (they release their captures after my inspection and enthusiastic discussion about their discovery.) I love it! I have no children of my own and really enjoy their enthusiasm! I promised my friends that I would not teach them my religion, but share my knowledge about the living world. A step in that direction though! I hope you all are enjoying the changes of this season and that you all are happy and well! Love, Nightwindchaser
